Product Description

PRP19 is part of the PRP19-associated complex, which is vital for the stable association of U5 and U6 snRNPs with the spliceosome after the release of U4. PRP19 interaction with the spliceosome not only facilitates the remodeling of the U6/5 splice site interaction but also leads to the destabilization of Lsm proteins, allowing U6 to engage more effectively with the intron sequence. Understanding PRP19 function is important because any dysregulation in splicing can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
