Product Description

hnRNP K(Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K) also known as AUKS is a member of the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). hnRNP K plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in mRNA processing and transport. hnRNP K is primarily located in the nucleus, where binding to heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) produced by RNA Polymerase II facilitates splicing and maturation of pre-mRNA. hnRNP K shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm, essential for function in both transcription and translation processes. Two K homologous (KH) domains mediate interactions with various molecular partners, enhancing post-transcriptional regulation.
