| Product Description | |
Paxillin also known as PXN is a focal adhesion phosphoprotein localized to the cytoskeleton. Paxillin plays a pivotal role in cell adhesion, migration, and signal transduction pathways. Paxillin′s interaction with focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is particularly important, as this interaction is essential for regulating tyrosine phosphorylation in response to cell adhesion. Phosphorylation of paxillin is a key event in signaling pathways activated by various growth factors and oncogenes, which can lead to significant changes in cell behavior, including migration and proliferation. Dynamic regulation of paxillin through tyrosine phosphorylation is vital for reorganizing the actin cytoskeleton, which is critical for maintaining cell shape and motility. |
