| Product Description | |
IRF-1(interferon regulatory factor 1) also known as MAR, IDM117 is a transcriptional regulator and tumor suppressor, serving as an activator of genes involved in both innate and acquired immune responses. IRF-1 plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a transcriptional activator for type I interferon genes, which are essential for the antiviral response and regulation of immune cell activity. IRF-1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where IRF-1 binds to specific DNA sequences in the promoters of interferon-α and interferon-β genes, facilitating their transcription. This nuclear localization enables IRF-1 to exert regulatory effects on gene expression in response to viral infections and other immune stimuli.
