Product Description

RUNX2 also known as AML-3, PEBP2αA, CBFA1, Osf2 is a member of the RUNX family of transcription factors and encodes a nuclear protein with an Runt DNA-binding domain. RUNX2 plays a critical role in skeletal development and mineralization, functioning as a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes essential for osteoblast differentiation and bone formation. RUNX2 stimulates the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts for proper skeletal development and promotes chondrocyte hypertrophy, which is crucial for endochondral ossification. RUNX2 drives endothelial cell migration and vascular invasion during bone development, highlighting RUNX2′s importance in both skeletal and vascular systems.
