| Product Description | |
HDAC10(Histone deacetylase 10) also called HD10 is a member of the class II HDACs, characterized by its N-terminal Hda1p-related catalytic domain and a unique C-terminal leucine-rich domain, which are essential for deacetylase activity and protein-protein interactions, respectively. HDAC10 shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus in response to cellular signals, thereby regulating gene expression and participating in various cellular processes. Post-translational modifications of HDAC10, including phosphorylation and ubiquitination, play a crucial role in modulating enzymatic activity, stability, and subcellular localization. Phosphorylation can influence HDAC10′s ability to interact with other proteins and localization within the cell, while ubiquitination may target HDAC10 for proteasomal degradation, thereby regulating levels and activity within the cell. |
