| Product Description | |
GATA-2 is a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors that are named for the consensus nucleotide sequence they bind in the promoter regions of target genes. GATA-2 plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and is essential for the development of various blood cell lineages, particularly in the regulation of gene expression during embryonic development. GATA-2 is predominantly expressed in embryonic brain and liver tissues, as well as in endothelial and erythroid cells, highlighting its importance in both developmental and adult hematopoietic processes. GATA-2 interacts with other GATA family members, such as GATA-1 and GATA-3, which are involved in specific lineage differentiation, indicating broader regulatory capabilities. |
