Product Description

b-Myb also known as MYBL2 is a member of the MYB family of transcription factor genes, is a nuclear protein involved in cell cycle progression. b-Myb plays a crucial role as a transcription factor, particularly in the regulation of genes involved in cell cycle progression and differentiation. b-Myb expression remains low or undetectable in quiescent cells but significantly increases during the G1/S-phase transition following mitogenic stimulation. This regulation allows b-Myb to facilitate the transition from a resting state to active cell division, thereby influencing cellular proliferation. Studies have indicated that b-Myb can rescue cells from p53-induced G1 arrest mediated by p21, highlighting B-Myb′s importance in overcoming cell cycle checkpoints that would otherwise prevent proliferation in response to stress signals.
