BCL2L10 also known as BCLB is a crucial member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins, consisting of 194 amino acids and widely expressed in various tissues. BCL2L10 contains a BH4 domain and a transmembrane domain, both critical for its function in promoting cell survival. Notably, overexpression of BCL2L10  has been linked to the prevention of cytochrome C release from the mitochondria, a key event that triggers caspase-3 activation and leads to apoptosis. Furthermore, BCL2L10 is implicated in the pathogenesis of cervical cancer, highlighting its significance in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.
