Product Description

MSK1 (also designated RLPK) is related to Rsk and p70 S6 kinase family members and is thought to be structurally similar to Rsk family members, but it may be regulated by distinct mechanisms. Enables ATP binding activity and protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Involved in several processes, including histone-serine phosphorylation; positive regulation of histone modification; and regulation of transcription, DNA-templated. Located in cytoplasm and nucleoplasm.
