| Product Description | |
Ephrin B1 also known as EFNB1 is a member of the ephrin gene family. Ephrin-B1 is a transmembrane protein that features conserved cytoplasmic tyrosine residues, which undergo phosphorylation upon binding to EphB receptors, thereby initiating a cascade of intracellular signaling events. This phosphorylation facilitates bidirectional signaling between ephrin-B1 and EphB receptors, influencing various cellular processes such as cell attachment and migration. ephrin-B1 presence in the developing retina is particularly significant, as ephrin-B1 plays a vital role in retinal axon mapping along the dorsal-ventral axis, which is essential for proper visual system development. |
