Product Description

Bcl-w also known as BCL2L2 is a member of the BCL-2 protein family. plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and tissue integrity. Bcl-w belongs to the Bcl-2 family, which consists of both pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic members that work in concert to determine cell fate. Bcl-w specifically promotes cell survival, particularly in myeloid cells, and expression is tightly regulated in various tissues, highlighting importance in hematopoiesis and immune responses. Bcl-w is encoded by a gene located near the TCRa gene on chromosome 14 and exhibits high conservation between species, indicating fundamental biological significance.
