Product Description

IFNβ1 also known as IFN beta 1, IFNB1 is a cytokine that belongs to the interferon family of signaling proteins, which are released as part of the innate immune response to pathogens. IFNβ1 plays a vital role in the immune response, particularly in the defense against viral infections. IFNβ1 is primarily produced by fibroblasts and epithelial cells in response to viral stimuli, and IFNβ1 secretion leads to the activation of various immune cells, enhancing their antiviral activities. IFNβ1′s importance extends beyond antiviral properties; IFNβ1 also exhibits antitumor and immunomodulatory effects, making IFNβ1 a key player in therapeutic strategies for malignancies, myelodysplastic syndromes, and autoimmune diseases.
