Product Description

ENL also known as MLLT1 is capable of activating transcription from synthetic reporter genes in both lymphoid and myeloid cells. ENL plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation and is involved in the formation of MLL fusion proteins, which are significant in the context of leukemia. ENL interacts with several key partners, including the MLL gene, which influences myelomonocytic differentiation. Fusion of ENL with MLL, resulting from chromosomal translocations, leads to the production of MLL-ENL fusion protein, commonly associated with infant acute leukemias. This interaction alters normal gene expression patterns, contributing to the pathogenesis of various leukemias.
