Product Description

IFNAR2 also known as IFN-α/βRβ, IFNARB is a type I membrane protein that forms one of the two chains of a receptor for interferons alpha and beta. IFNAR2 plays a crucial role in the immune response by serving as a receptor for type I interferons, which are vital for establishing an antiviral state in cells. IFNAR2 is part of a larger signaling pathway that activates immune responses against viral infections, making IFNAR2 essential for the body′s defense mechanisms. IFNAR2 is primarily located on the cell surface, where IFNAR2 interacts with type I interferons, facilitating the transduction of signals that lead to the expression of antiviral genes. Proper functioning of IFNAR2 is critical, as any dysregulation can result in impaired immune responses or contribute to autoimmune diseases.
