Product Description

CNPase also known as CNP is a membrane-bound enzyme that can link tubulin to membranes and may regulate cytoplasmic microtubule distribution. CNPase plays a crucial role as a microtubule-associated protein, facilitating the assembly of microtubules, which are essential for maintaining cellular structure and function. The C-terminus of CNPase is particularly important for microtubule-promoting activity, highlighting CNPase′s significance in cytoskeletal dynamics. CNPase is predominantly located in the central nervous system, found in high concentrations within myelin and the outer segments of photoreceptors in the retina, underscoring CNPase′s vital role in neuronal health and visual function.
