Product Description

hnRNP A2/B1 also known as HNRNPA2B1 is a member of the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). hnRNP A2/B1 plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA processing and transporting mature mRNA to the cytoplasm, essential for proper gene expression and cellular function. hnRNP A2/B1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where interactions with pre-mRNA and splicing factors influence splice site selection and modulate mature mRNA production. Through nuclear-cytoplasmic shuttling, hnRNP A2/B1 participates in both transcriptional and translational processes, making this protein a key player in gene regulation. As part of a larger hnRNP protein family, hnRNP A2/B1 forms ribonucleoprotein complexes that facilitate mRNA processing and stability.
