ALK(Anaplastic lymphoma kinase) also known as CD246 is a receptor tyrosine kinase, which belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily. ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase characterized by its distinct structure, which includes an N-terminal extracellular domain, a single transmembrane helix, and an intracellular kinase domain. This protein plays a crucial role in the development and function of the nervous system by regulating neuronal growth, differentiation, and survival.
