Product Description

PAK2 also known as γPAK, PAKγ is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating the JNK signaling cascade. PAK2 is located in the cytoplasm and interacts with active forms of Rac1 and Cdc42, which are small GTPases involved in various cellular processes, including cytoskeletal reorganization and cell migration. PAK2 interaction with these GTPases leads to phosphorylation of downstream substrates, such as MEK kinase, which subsequently activates the JNK pathway. This pathway is vital for cellular responses to stress and apoptosis, highlighting PAK2′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli.
