Btk also known as Bruton tyrosine kinase, BTK plays a crucial role in B cell development and signaling, making Btk essential for the immune response. Mutations in Btk can lead to X-linked agammaglobulinemia, a condition characterized by a significant reduction in antibody production and increased susceptibility to infections, highlighting Btk′s importance in maintaining immune system integrity.
