Product Description

MAPKAPK-2 also known as MK2 a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. MAPKAPK-2 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in response to stress and inflammatory stimuli, by acting as a downstream effector of p38 MAP kinase and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathways. MAPKAPK-2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the nucleus upon activation, where MAPKAPK-2 regulates gene expression and cell survival. MAPKAPK-2′s ability to modulate these pathways is vital for processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, making MAPKAPK-2 an important target for research in cancer and other diseases.
