MKK6 plays a crucial role in the activation of p38 MAP kinase, which is essential for various cellular responses, including inflammation, stress responses, and apoptosis. The activation of p38 MAP kinase by MKK6 is particularly important because it mediates the cellular response to environmental stressors and is involved in the regulation of gene expression, cell differentiation, and survival.
