Product Description

Garcinol is a polyisoprenylated benzophenone derivative and a potent inhibitor of histone acetyltransferases (HATs) PCAF and p300. It has been used to inhibit the growth of cancer cell lines and to promote ex vivo expansion of human stem cells. Garcinol also exhibits antioxidative and chelating activity and is reported to induce apoptosis in HeLa cells by downregulating their global gene expression.
